Kris Wilcox

Sitka, AK

Kris raised 4 kids in Sitka with her husband Brett. Kris enjoys all things outdoors and the creativity of dance and movement. When Cyndy approached her with the idea to be the dance director of a new Russian Folk Dance Company, it was an easy yes. Together they built the story and characters in Alaska Storytellers and Kris did the Russian Choreography. Although Kris likes to watch from the audience if we are short on dancers you can spot her onstage.

How do you like your eggs?

She likes her eggs over easy with beans and rice.

Nancy Neel

San Diego, CA

Nancy Neel is a mother of 2 and a Coast Guard Spouse. She has been dancing for 15 + years. She is very happy to live in a city where she can express and share her talents with so many people, she’s currently a fitness and dance instructor. Theatrical performance has always been one of her favorite dance styles, and she is very thrilled she’s finally found her calling with Alaska Storytellers!

Sabrina Madsen

Herriman, UT

Started ballroom dancing at 15 years old. Moved to Sitka to live a dream of being a dancer. Loves adventure and traveling and learning the history and cultures.

How do you like your eggs?

She likes eggs scrambled with cheese and pepperoni.

Lucy Burton

Vernal, UT

My name is Lucy burton and I am from a small town called Lapoint, Utah. I am currently studying at BYU-Idaho. I am pursuing a psychoogy degree and a dance inor. My favorite styles of dance are ballet, contemporary, clogging, ballroom, and now Russian folk! I also love to sing and play the ukulele and electric guitar. I love traveling and the outdoors. I like going on hikes, going to lakes, and exploring the ountains. Im a very upbeat person with a lot of energy! I am always looking for a new and fun adventure! Sitka has been great for that :)

Cali Mau

North Pole, AK

Cali Mau was born and raised in North Pole, Alaska. She came to Sitka in 2016 with her husband. She is a mom to three boys Her performance history includes sports, gymsatics, theater and hip-hop dancing.

How do you like your eggs?

Cynthia Gibson

Sitka, AK

Cyndy moved to Alaska in 1993 and fell in love with the rain, people, wildlife and scenery. In 1996, she met and married her husband Keith who you can find helping out with the tech during the shows. She currently works as a financial advisor and has worked with Kris to form the Alaska Storytellers. Both retired from a local volunteer Russian Folk dance group and their passion for dance and storytelling was a great fit for their new venture. Lately she has taken to cold dips in the ocean waters around Sitka and snorkeling with the abundant fish and kelp.

How do you like your eggs?

She likes her eggs with vegetables and hot sauce rolled in a corn tortilla.

Celissa Hatch

Vernal, UT

Celissa is 20 and has been dancing since she was 8. Back home in Utah, she is a muralist, I love anything to do with any type of art and being able to create beauty! I am extremely lucky to be able to create with Alaska Storytellers here in Sitka!

How do you like your eggs?

She likes scrambled eggs with salsa.

Lily Turley

Sitka, AK

Lily Turley grew up all over Alaska and graduated from Mt. Edgecumbe High School here in Sitka. She is currently studying Kinesiology at the University of Alaska Anchorage. She loves to travel, hike, run and sing.

How do you like your eggs?

She likes her eggs scrambled ;)

Erika Youngberg

Sitka, AK

Erika grew up dancing in Sitka, minored in World Dance in college, and is now a stay-at-home-mom to 3 crazy kids. In her spare time she enjoys buying too many plants, cooking out of her veggie garden, and training for half marathons.

How do you like your eggs?

She likes her eggs cooked in every conceivable way, but most especially when they're from her flock of backyard chickens.

Whitney Whitworth

Glendora, CA

My name is Whitney Whitworth. I’m from Glendora, CA and am currently getting my Bachelors in Psychology at BYU-Idaho. My family origins mostly come from England. My passions are lyrical dance, photography, and being an aunt.

She prefers her eggs scrambled!
